  • RouteThis is a Series A startup located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. We build software platforms that help Service Providers (and Smart Home companies) install, troubleshoot and support WiFi networks and connectivity-related issues in their customer’s homes.

  • RouteThis works with customers globally. RouteThis currently supports English, French, Italian and Spanish. As we expand into new territories, more language options will likely be available.

  • Information gathered during the RouteThis scan is used for identifying and actioning connectivity issues. In addition, RouteThis follows GDPR guidelines and works with our partners to ensure proper capturing and storing of necessary scan information.   • Implementation and onboarding of RouteThis highly depend on each organization from size, processes, systems, and stakeholders involved. Our implementation and onboarding program requires an equal amount of effort from the customer to be successful. We have seen customers implement and onboard as little as 6 weeks.

For Service Providers

  • RouteThis Resolve has two components. Support and customer service agents access the Resolve platform on their computer via an internet browser. Subscribers download and run the RouteThis Helps app on a trusted device on their home network. Network information is collected via the RouteThis Helps app when the agent initiates a network scan.


    RouteThis Self-Help is a self-troubleshooting tool for customers to use at home without having to contact your support team. It lives inside the RouteThis Helps app.


    RouteThis Certify is a mobile application that your field technicians run on their devices (both Android and iOS) and use at the point of installation or field support visits.

  • Yes. We have three different delivery models and our team will work with you to determine the right solution for your company. RouteThis Helps can be made directly available to your subscribers (accessed via a unique code), can be white-labeled as your own application using your branding, or you can license our API/SDK to add the RouteThis Helps functionality into your existing mobile apps.

  • RouteThis sits on either side of WiFi management, in that we focus on optimizing installations with RouteThis Certify, and WiFi support and troubleshooting with RouteThis Resolve. 


    Since our platform is CPE-agnostic, we work with any brand of routers, gateways, access points or mesh nodes. 


    Since most managed WiFi products don't have issue flagging or resolution workflows, our platform helps standardize the troubleshooting and resolution process across your entire install base, and can enable support agents and homeowners to scan and resolve WiFi-related issues without a CPE-specific platform.

  • Our RouteThis Helps application runs on the customer’s mobile device, and can scan the entire network without a client or agent on the CPE.

  • RouteThis has a large list of service providers using the, including Trust Power, Start.ca, and Altafiber, to name a few. You can view their success stories on our Content Hub. We currently work with over 80 internet service providers in over 30 countries.

  • When it comes to RouteThis, our model is usage-based. Depending on your needs and user base, ISPs pay for a certain number of installs, monthly scans or based on residential subscribers.

For Smart Home

  • RouteThis Core has two components. Support and customer service agents access the Core platform on their computer via an internet browser. Customers are required to download and run the RouteThis Helps app on a trusted device on their home network. Network information is collected via the RouteThis Helps app when the agent initiates a network scan.

  • RouteThis can detect any WiFi-connected device on the customer’s home network. Prior to our partnership, we will require you to send a sample of your smart-device(s) to understand what common home network discovery protocols the devices respond to. This will ensure that your devices will always be found in your customer’s home networks. 

  • RouteThis scans leverage about 150 data points within the consumer’s home network to help provide actionable insights. Our services can identify connectivity issues, including merged networks, congestion, outside line issues, band steering, and many more.

  • At the moment, RouteThis can only gather information on the network via WiFi connection.

  • Yes! RouteThis network scans can be performed on a laptop or PC. However, for the best possible customer experience, the preferred method is a trusted iOS or Android device.

  • When it comes to RouteThis, our model is usage-based. Depending on your use case, typical smart home companies pay for a certain number monthly scans or account.
